What we’re about.
The Grand Traverse Music Teachers Association (GTMTA) is a group of music teachers offering lessons in a variety of instruments. Based in the northern lower peninsula of Michigan, we are one of 17 local associations that make up the Michigan Music Teachers Association (MMTA), which in turn is part of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).
In addition to music lessons, our annual events for our students include Student Achievement Testing, recitals, and master classes. Member teachers meet during the year for guest presentations, a statewide conference, and association business meetings.
